Dr. Shimer is from Pearland, Texas and recently moved to Vermont in August of 2025. In her free time, she and her husband, Nate, love to explore new coffee shops and restaurants in the area. She loves to cheer on her favorite sports teams: the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Astros. Dr. Shimer is also looking forward to hitting the slopes in the winter.

Dr. Nathan Makay believes that continuing education is an essential part of providing quality, comprehensive care to his patients. He is currently active in Spear Education and has attended the Misch International Implant Institute, in addition to receiving special training in Invisalign®, Six Month Smiles®, and Perio Protect®.

Dr. Nick Bryan DMD

Dr. Nick Bryan is a graduate of the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bryan is enthusiastic about delivering comprehensive dental care including esthetic dentistry, Invisalign, and implantology as a member of the unbelievable dental team at Essex Family Dental.
